After losing four family members in the last few years, I began to realize an enormous need in our communities. To help my family, I had the advantage of holding a medical degree, and had worked as Director of Nurses in Assisted Living and a Home Health R.N., I was skilled in navigating family disputes, deciphering complicated medical issues, understanding gerontology, and knew how to access resources.

However, most families are not as well equipped to manage the complicated dynamics of aging that accompanies declining health conditions. I began to realize, after receiving a call from my Uncle’s elder law attorney, my skills were needed in the larger community. Age at Home Service is the result of my personal losses and medical experience coming together to provide passionate and compassionate resources, senior support, and education about aging through public platforms.

“With seniors living longer, and with more than 77 million baby boomers turning 65 at a rate of 10,000 per day, the United States is experiencing historic growth in the 65-plus demographic. This growth is pressing communities to think differently and more broadly about a whole host of issues: housing, transportation, social services, to name just a few.”(National Council on Aging (NCOA)

We endeavor, through Age at Home Service, to meet the goals and safety needs of seniors in homes, retirement centers, foster care homes, hospitals, and assisted living. Most seniors want to age in place, but without assistance, few can stay in their homes safely. By providing care management, make modifications to the home to make it safer, it could be a way to save a ton of money. However, needs change.

Aging is a complicated process and while we might be able to keep a senior in their homes longer, there might come a time when their needs for care changes. We look forward to aligning with strategic alliances like you to provide those services outside our scope, that range from seniors needing to move to assisted living or memory care, needing in home personal care, physical therapy, home modifications, and financial advice.
